Robert F. Finnegan
President 1973-1974After the war, Robert F. Finnegan dedicated his life to a career in marketing. In the 1950s, he was director of market research for General Electric. This was followed by a position as the media and market research director for an advertising agency in Boston, Bresnick Co., until he ultimately founded his own market research company in 1975.
Robert F. Finnegan, a graduate of Harvard Business School, Class of 1939, was a faculty member there, served on the board of governors, and actively participated in the alumni program. He received his B.A. for Boston College.
Elected president of AMA Boston in 1973, this chapter established the Robert F. Finnegan Distinguished Service Award in his name.
Robert F. Finnegan died on April 26, 1997.
