VP Internet Services
Keeper of the Keys to the kingdom:
Be responsible for all our Internet/Information Services Accounts and passwords: (including user names and passwords, account information for the various systems we use, such as: Network Solutions, Blog, Email, Cvent, Hosting, Extranet, Membership Database, Job Board, etc.)
Support and Training:
Provide support and training for individuals (in multiple committees) who are managing content on our Internet systems (Cvent, Blog, Website, Extranet, Social Media Groups)
System Maintenance:
Manage the upkeep and well-being of all our Internet/Information systems, periodic back-ups and develop a phased plan for future enhancements.
Special Projects:
Prioritize and manage the development and deployment of any new features that are a good addition to improve the efficiency of chapter operations, the value of membership or increasing chapter awareness.
General Responsibilities of all Board Members
The Board of Directors is the official governing body of the chapter and manages all business and property of the chapter. Most importantly, Board members should enjoy their service and build meaningful relationships with their peers and marketers across the country. Plus, attend events at no charge.
- Promote the ideals and goals of AMA.
- Do not reinvent the wheel but take advantage of resources provided by the AMA network.
- Manage chapter affairs with the president and other officers.
- Attend monthly board meetings, which are 2 hours in length each and held in Waltham and downtown Boston.
- Serve on one or more committees, whose work is done between board meetings.
- Help make chapter policy.
- Advise the president and other officers.
- Help plan and/or review the annual chapter budget and plan.
- Coordinate with other officers, directors and committee chairs as needed.
- Support membership drives and spread the word about events.
- The general board has no required role in fundraising.
- Members of the Board serve for at least one year.
- Three consecutive absences may mean dismissal from board, at discretion of board.
Cvent Administrator
Do you know how to use Cvent? We want you on our team!
Specific responsibilities include:
- Create and manage invites
- Create and manage events
- Create and manage surveys
- Manage membership database
Requirements:
- Experience with Cvent (minimum of 1 to 2 years)
- Responsive, detail-oriented, and exceptional organizational skills
- Exceptional communication skills
- Must be an AMA member
Approximate time commitment:
- Creating events and invites in Cvent, 2-3 hours per week.
- Creating event follow-up surveys in Cvent, 1-2 hours per month.
- Updates to the membership database in cvent, 1-2 hours per month.
