Owen Jenkins

President 2003-2004

Owen Jenkins has 20 years experience in Market Research and Marketing Communications. He is currently CEO of the North American Office of the Kadence International Research Group( www.kadence.com) a specialist business-to-business research company with offices in London, Singapore, Sydney as well as here in Framingham Massachusetts.

Owen's career began in direct marketing and advertising as an account executive at Senior King (a London top 10 Agency) in the United Kingdom. At Senior King he made the transition to planning by becoming Planning Director working with clients such as Hilton International, Foster Lager, Shell Oil and Del Monte.

After gaining valuable direct sales and management experience during placements with GFW and Mitel Telecommunications Owen continued his planning career by joining Kadence UK Ltd as Planning Director in 1993.

Owen established the US office in 1995 and has overseen its growth into one of the top 100 research companies in America. His background in planning, specifically marketing communications, helps him to understand client strategies and interpret research findings.

In the USA he has been instrumental in coordinating multi-phased research projects for clients such as John Deere, Motorola and Mercer Management Consulting and LG Electronics. Although he understands the importance of setting specific information objectives he understands the need to retain methodological flexibility to react to in-field learning.

Owen has a BSC in Chemistry From the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth, and has a certificate in Communication, Advertising and Marketing from the CAM Foundation in London.

Owen is past president of the local chapter of the Marketing Research Association (1999-2000) and American Marketing Association (2003-2004). He remains active in both Associations.
