John Cass is the author of "Strategies and Tools for Corporate Blogging," published by Butterworth-Heinemann an imprint of Elsevier, Inc. in 2007. He is a Research Fellow and Advisory Board member of the Society for New Communications Research (http://www.sncr.org), a think tank dedicated to the study of new communications tools and their effect on society. He has been blogging at his PR Communications blog since 2003.

He was 2005-2006 President of the Boston Chapter of the American Marketing Association, and served on the board of the Boston chapter for four years.

He has held senior positions in marketing, social media strategies and public relations for a number of companies including; 48hourprint.com an online printing company, RedV Network a consumer software company, Quotium Technologies a web load testing software company, Portent Interactive an interactive agency, and was the Director of Blogging Strategies for Backbone Media. John moved to California from the United Kingdom in 1992, and has a B.A. from DeMontfort University in the United Kingdom. John lives in Arlington with his wife Karin, and son Bram.
