Programming Committee
Director of Events (3 to 4 positions open)
This position is responsible for the planning and execution of event(s) as well as helping other volunteers prepare and manage events. The commitment is expected for 1 year.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Event planning and execution (logistics)
- Strategic planning around event topics
- Interviewing potential speakers
- Venue selection
- Budget management
- Sponsor relations
- Continue to build upon and improve Programming within the Chapter
Requirements:
- Experience with event planning or project management ( 2- 3 years)
- Experience in Marketing ( minimum of 1 to 2 years)
- Exceptional communication skills – communicating with board members, interviewing potential speakers and venues, etc.
- Responsive, detail-oriented, and exceptional organizational skills
Approximate time commitment:
- Leading/planning events: When you own an event, 2-3 hours per week until the event is completed.
- Expected participation in Programming Committee meetings: 1 hr p/month.
- Expected participation in strategic planning: 4 hours p/6 months.

Event Coordinator (3 to 4 positions open)
This position is responsible for supporting the Event Director in event management.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Event Director and leading in some of the aspects of Event Planning and Execution which include:

- Good communication skills - communicating with board members, interviewing potential speakers and venues, etc.
- Responsive, committed, and an exceptional team player
- Supporting events: When you support an event, 2-3 hours per week until the event is completed
- Expected participation in Programming Committee meetings: 1 hr p/month
- Expected participation in strategic planning: 4 hours p/6 months
