Programming

Annette Goldberg, VP of Programming (co-chair)

Annette M. Goldberg most recently served as the Vice President of Client Services at Molecular, leading the strategic direction and business growth initiatives for Molecular's comprehensive services umbrella. She was responsible for implementing service policies and procedures that scale with the rapid growth of the company.

Previously, Annette was the Vice President of Project Management at Molecular where she built a team of highly adept project management consultants, skilled at understanding client business problems and ensuring Molecular's solutions address those problems and deliver a maximum return on investment (ROI).  Prior to Molecular, she served as Director of Project Management at American Science and Engineering where she provided leadership in creating a project management office, research and development of prototypes, and client relationships.  Annette was also employed by Raytheon serving in several different capacities.

Annette holds a BS in economics from Susquehanna University in Pennsylvania, a MMS in manufacturing/management science from U Lowell (now part of the UMASS system), and an MBA from Babson College.

 

Amy E. Quigley, VP of Programming (co-chair)

Amy E. Quigley, Vice President of Marketing at Molecular, is responsible for providing strategic and visionary leadership to the marketing team by driving innovation and delivering targeted and integrated marketing solutions. On a daily basis, she oversees public relations, demand generation, analyst relations and Molecular's thought leadership initiatives. Amy also assures that all marketing strategies are consistent with overall company objectives.

Throughout her career, Amy has developed experience in a variety of industries ranging from high tech and financial services, to fashion and not-for-profit organizations. Prior to Molecular, she was responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies at ATG, Fidelity Investments and Bank of Boston, and she contributed to the marketing strategy for two fashion start-ups. Amy also spent several years at Leo Burnett/Boston where she managed several major accounts, including CMGI, Keane and exchange.com (acquired by Amazon.com), developing strategies to articulate their business objectives and values into succinct and influential brand messages. 

Amy graduated from the University of Hartford with a BA in Communications.



Responsibilities of the VP of programming


The Vice President of Programming develops, recommends and implements programs for regular chapter events. He/she is responsible for chairing the programming committee and ensuring that it accomplishes the following.

  • Determine the yearly schedule of all chapter events by coordinating with the Board of Directors and all SIG Directors.Prepare the yearly program calendar.
  • Determine the program topics and speakers with the Board of Directors.Arrange for speakers. Works with VP of Sponsorship to develop relationships with local organizations.
  • Utilize chapter research to determine which topics are of most interest to members and provide events in those topics.
  • Notify the VP of Communications of all program details in a timely fashion.
  • Prepare meeting announcements and promotional copy for each program and send to the VP of Communications for distribution to the membership.
  • Ensure that the AMA is competitive with other local chapters in regards to pricing and events.
General Responsibilities of all Board Members

The Board of Directors is the official governing body of the chapter and manages all business and property of the chapter. Most importantly, Board members should enjoy their service and build meaningful relationships with their peers and marketers across the country. Plus, attend events at no charge.
  • Promote the ideals and goals of AMA.
  • Do not reinvent the wheel but take advantage of resources provided by the AMA network.
  • Manage chapter affairs with the president and other officers.
  • Attend monthly board meetings, which are 2 hours in length each and held in Waltham and downtown Boston.
  • Serve on one or more committees, whose work is done between board meetings.
  • Help make chapter policy.
  • Advise the president and other officers.
  • Help plan and/or review the annual chapter budget and plan.
  • Coordinate with other officers, directors and committee chairs as needed.
  • Support membership drives and spread the word about events.
  • The general board has no required role in fundraising.
  • Members of the Board serve for at least one year.
  • Three consecutive absences may mean dismissal from board, at discretion of board.
